Applications Open for Free Courses in 14 Fields at DİSMEK
Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality has begun accepting applications for the new term of courses to be offered through DİSMEK. Applications for free certified and certificate-of-attendance training in 14 different fields, designed to support vocational skills, artistic development and personal development, will be open until 30 September.
The new training term is beginning at Diyarbakır Art and Vocational Training Courses (DİSMEK), which operates under the Department of Social Services. The new programme features 14 different fields and aims to help residents gain vocational skills, support their personal development and participate in artistic production. Places on all courses will be free of charge and available to a limited number of participants.
Through its previous programmes, DİSMEK has provided residents with opportunities to acquire new skills, learn a profession, take part in production and socialise. In the new term, the training programmes have again been designed to meet a range of interests and needs, with the aim of contributing to participants’ vocational and artistic development.
Certified Training in Eight Fields
The new training term will offer certified training in eight fields. These will include cookery/pastry making, computer operation, skincare, diction, basic accounting, handicrafts (cold porcelain), hairdressing and textiles.
The vocational training aims to help participants develop their knowledge and skills, support their participation in working life and make it easier for them to access new employment opportunities.
Certificate-of-Attendance Courses in Artistic and Technical Fields
As part of the certificate-of-attendance training programme, courses will be offered in six different fields: wooden toy making, bağlama/vocal training, tile decoration, preparation for fine arts, database management and stone carving.
Covering art, music, information technology and traditional production, the courses aim to help participants develop their skills, learn new production techniques and consolidate what they have learned through practical work.
Training to Be Held at Two Course Centres
The training will be delivered by specialist instructors at Sümerpark Course Centre and Göletlipark Course Centre. Course dates and times will be communicated to participants once the application process has been completed.
