Co-Mayor Bucak Inspects Ongoing Projects

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak inspected the ongoing construction of the Mahabad Women’s Life Centre and visited Sanayi Park.

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak continues her field visits to inspect projects and services being implemented across the city. As part of these visits, Co-Mayor Bucak inspected the construction of the Mahabad Women’s Life Centre in Kayapınar district, which will support women’s social, cultural and professional development, and visited Sanayi Park.

The first stop was the Mahabad Women’s Life Centre, currently under construction on a 1,105-square-metre site in the Fırat neighbourhood of Kayapınar district. Designed to support women’s social, cultural and professional development, the centre will make an important contribution to advancing social equality and empowering women once completed.

Designed as a multi-purpose social complex, the Mahabad Women’s Life Centre will include a cafeteria, children’s playroom, instructors’ room, psychological counselling room, coordinator’s office, foyer and exhibition area, screening room, sculpture studio, photography studio, art studio, dance studio and fitness centre.

Cleaning Work to Be Stepped Up

Co-Mayor Bucak and the accompanying delegation then visited Sanayi Park in Kayapınar district. During the visit, Co-Mayor Bucak met with residents at the park and listened to their requests and concerns.

Co-Mayor Bucak instructed the relevant municipal departments to address the issues raised by residents. She also stated that cleaning work in and around the park would be stepped up in response to requests from local residents.

Co-Mayor Bucak Inspects Tandoor Houses

During the park visit, Co-Mayor Bucak also inspected the tandoor houses currently under construction. Designed as communal facilities where local residents can use traditional tandoor ovens, the facilities will be made available to the neighbourhood once completed. She received information from officials on the ongoing work and details of the project.

Co-Mayor Bucak was accompanied during the inspections by Deputy Chief Executives Zerin Türk and Aziz Özdoğan and the heads of the relevant departments.
