The Democratic Institutions Platform organised a march to mark World Peace Day on 1 September. The march began outside NCITY Shopping Centre in Bağlar district and continued to AZC Plaza in the Ofis area.

The march was attended by Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak, Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları, district municipality co-mayors, members of parliament, representatives of civil society organisations and residents.

At a statement delivered outside AZC Plaza at the end of the march, speakers highlighted the importance of peace and noted that calls for peace are being voiced across all sections of society.
