Co-Mayor Bucak Welcomes Top-Scoring LGS Students

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak welcomed students who achieved the maximum score of 500 in the LGS and ranked among the highest-scoring students in Türkiye, along with their families and teachers, congratulating them on their achievement.

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak received students from Diyarbakır who answered every question correctly and achieved the maximum score of 500 in the 2026 High School Entrance System (LGS) examination at the Metropolitan Municipality building. The successful students were accompanied by their families and the teachers who had supported them throughout their education.

Expressing her pleasure at the visit, Co-Mayor Bucak congratulated each student on their achievement. Highlighting the city’s educational potential and the determination shown by its children, Bucak said:

“We have a tradition of meeting students from our city who achieve the maximum score of 500 and move on to high school, together with their families and, if they wish, their teachers. We give them a small gift to show that we have not forgotten them, to recognise together once again just how significant their achievement is, and to wish them every success in the next stage of their education. We did the same last year, and it has become a tradition for us.”

Co-Mayor Bucak also spoke with the students’ families and teachers and thanked all the educators and families who had contributed to the children’s development and success.

The visit concluded with Co-Mayor Bucak presenting congratulatory gifts to the students, followed by a commemorative photograph.

Co-Mayor Bucak was joined at the meeting by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Council Co-Spokesperson Ayhan Karatekin, Deputy Chief Executive Zerin Türk and heads of municipal departments.
