Registration Opens for Sümerpark Children’s Playroom

Pre-registration applications for the 2026–2027 term at Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality’s Sümerpark Children’s Playroom are now open.

Operating under the Children’s Services Unit of the Department of Social Services, Sümerpark Children’s Playroom will once again provide children with a safe and supportive environment where they can take part in a wide range of activities.

With children’s right to play at the heart of its approach, the Playroom provides an environment where children can spend time with their peers, express themselves freely, use their mother tongues, and develop in a multilingual and multicultural setting.

Taking into account children’s age, developmental characteristics, interests and needs, the Playroom offers a range of workshops and activities, including play, art, music, storytelling, movement and creative activities.

Applications Open for Children Aged 4, 5 and 6

Pre-registration applications for the 2026–2027 term will be accepted for children aged 4, 5 and 6. Groups will be formed according to the children’s age and developmental characteristics, with separate morning and afternoon sessions.

Applications Close on 28 August

Applications will open on 24 August and close on 28 August 2026. Families can apply by completing the application form available at the following link:

Applications to Be Assessed

As places at Sümerpark Children’s Playroom are limited, submitting a pre-registration application does not guarantee a place. Applications will be assessed by the Children’s Services Unit based on age group, available capacity and the established registration and assessment criteria.

Once the assessment process has been completed, the families of children who are offered a place will be contacted and provided with information about the final registration process.
