Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality continues to provide social support to help children with their education and reduce families’ education-related expenses. As part of these efforts, teams from the Children’s Services Unit of the Department of Social Services distributed school bags to 280 pupils attending four schools in the Sur, Yenişehir and Bağlar districts. The bags contained stationery and water bottles to meet the pupils’ needs throughout the school year.

Support Initiative Carried Out in Partnership with Civil Society Organisations

The initiative was carried out jointly by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality and civil society organisations, with school bags delivered to pupils at schools identified in advance. The support aims to help pupils start the new school year with their basic educational needs met.
