Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality has started to update the City Information System on its website within the framework of the Smart Cities Strategy and Action Plan.
In line with the Digital Municipalism activities carried out by the Geographic Information Systems Branch Directorate of the Department of Information Technologies, many innovations have been made in the “City Information System” (https://www.diyarbakir.bel.tr/diyarbakir/kent-bilgi-sistemi.html) module on the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality website (www.diyarbakir.bel.tr). In this way, Diyarbakır residents will now be able to easily access many important data with the City Guide application.
Citizens will be able to access information
Thanks to the renewed application, citizens will be able to query pharmacies on duty on a daily basis, learn their address and contact information, and get directions. In addition to these services, information on earthquakes can be quickly accessed with AFAD's “Recent Earthquakes data”.
The City Information System offers a fully integrated address query feature with the Spatial Address Registration System (MAKS), making data such as roads, buildings, numbering and MAKS Code accessible. It is now also possible to obtain information on the locations and dates of neighborhood markets, and to access information on Emergency Gathering Areas for emergencies.
With the application, citizens can examine the 1/100.000 scale Environmental Plan and access the 1/5000 scale Master Plan information for the parcels within the borders of Diyarbakır.
The city can be explored in detail
Citizens will be able to explore the city in more detail with various map bases such as internet-based (OSM, Google, Yandex, Bing) and satellite/ortophoto image data.
Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, which facilitates access to information in the city with its digital projects, aims to increase the quality of life in the city by accelerating the digital transformation of the city.
