Diyarbakır Büyükşehir Belediyesi Eş Başkanı Doğan Hatun, Birleşmiş Milletler Gıda ve Tarım Örgütü (FAO) Ofisi ve Avrupa İmar ve Kalkınma Bankası’nın Türkiye temsilcileri ile görüştü. Görüşmede, bölgedeki tarımsal projeler gündeme gelirken, kalkınma hedeflerine dair ortak çalışma kararı alındı. 

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Doğan Hatun met with representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Turkey. During the meeting, agricultural projects in the region were on the agenda and it was decided to work jointly on development goals. 

Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Doğan Hatun held a series of meetings in Ankara. Co-Chair Hatun met with the representatives of the International Labor Organization (ILO) Office and the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) in Turkey, followed by a meeting with the representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Office in Turkey and Mehmet Üvez, Turkey Deputy President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). 

 

Cooperation in agriculture and rural development 

 

During the meeting with FAO, opportunities for cooperation in the field of agriculture and rural development were discussed and areas for joint work on agricultural projects in the region were evaluated. FAO representatives stated that they would support projects to increase the capacity of local producers and share information with the municipality in their areas of expertise. FAO officials stated that they will work together on financing projects and noted that the meeting will be an important step towards strengthening cooperation and supporting sustainable agricultural development.

 

During the meeting and cooperation meeting with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the potential areas of cooperation between the parties were evaluated. During the meeting, the city's potential in infrastructure, transportation, energy efficiency and economic development was also discussed. 

 

The Co-Mayor and his entourage shared Diyarbakır's development goals and projects with EBRD officials, and it was decided to initiate technical work for concrete steps. 

 

Co-Chair Hatun was accompanied by Özden Gürbüz Sümer, Head of the Department of Women and Family Services, Murat Akbaş, Head of the Department of Studies and Projects, and Adnan Aydın, Head of the Department of Projects at Diyarbakır Water and Sewerage Administration (DİSKİ) General Directorate.
