More than 10 thousand children and youth have benefited from the activities carried out by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality in many fields from education to sports. 

The Department of Youth and Sports Services continues its education and sports activities for young people and children. Within the scope of these activities, many projects for young people have been realized. The Metropolitan Municipality, which provides great support in investing in the future of young people, provided a total of 9 million TL cash aid to 132 amateur sports clubs operating in various branches covering the 2024-2025 season in cooperation with Kayapınar, Yenişehir and Bağlar municipalities.

 

Thousand 327 students benefited from Sümerpark Common Living Space

Since March 31, 1,327 students have benefited from the Robotic Coding Class, Mind and Intelligence Games classes at the Sümerpark Common Living Area of the Youth and Sports Services Department.

 

730 students placed to university

As part of the work, Sur Academy High School was transformed into Sur Study Center. One thousand 350 students preparing for exams benefited from this center. 730 of them achieved success and were placed in various universities.

 

In addition, 107 students participated in the trial exams held regularly in October and November at the Sur Study Center. Sur Book Café is used by an average of 60-65 young people on a daily basis.
