Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality has completed the renovation of its Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre, which was no longer able to meet current needs. The redesigned, modern 17,054 square metre centre features a fully-equipped operating room and a laboratory supported by state-of-the-art technology for the treatment of our animal companions.

The centre includes a spayed/neutered animal area, a quarantine zone, a section for mothers with pups, a separate area for orphaned puppies, a post-operative unit, a laboratory, 51 kennels, one operating room (246m²), one cat house (76m²), one administrative building (590m²), one large animal shelter (134m²), and a main entrance.
